Fans of Alabama and the Chicago Bears were among those online lamenting the fact that their favorite teams didn’t have Keolanui’s heroics at their disposal.
Bama and the Bears have both been bitten by missed field goals at crunch time, but not Hilo High and definitely not on Friday night in Honolulu.

By now, everyone knows: Keolanui – aka Captain Clutch or the Iceman – nailed a 55-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Vikings to the HHSAA D-I championship and himself into Big Island sports lore.
