David N. Cabuag Sr., 80, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu and Everett, Wash., died Nov. 21 at home. Born on Oahu, he was a retired member of Hawaii Carpenters Union Local 745 and the Washington state Carpenters Union, U.S. Air Force jet mechanic, life member of American Legion Post 127 in Bothell, Wash., and former member of Iron Horse Motorcycle Club on Oahu, Hawaiian Civitan Club of Kona, Kai Opua Canoe Club, former youth football and baseball coach and Special Olympics volunteer. Rose Marie Santos, 72, of Hilo died Oct. 23 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center in Hilo. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired postal worker and worked for Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge and the state Adult Mental Health Division. Mary Anne Shattuck, 86, of Waimea died Oct. 24 at home. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she skated in the Ice Capades, was a hospice volunteer, started the Waimea Food Bank and was associated with Catholic Outreach Services. Raymond Wallace Solomon Jr., 70, of Albany, Ore., formerly of Hilo and Sonoma County, Calif., died Nov. 22 in Corvallis, Ore.
