Officers executed a search warrant Nov. 8 on a residence off Nani Waimea Street in South Kohala, seizing 10.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a .22 caliber rifle, police said Thursday.

Kasey Hui-Ahsam, 35, of Kapaau with arrested and charged with second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two firearms offenses, contempt of court and failure to appear.

His bail was set at $11,450.

Arrested and charged with third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug were 59-year-old Jose Carpio of Waimea, 61-year-old Facundo Yaplag of Waimea and 31-year-old Joseph Sullivan of Paauilo. Their bail was set at $2,000 each.

Yaplag posted bail and was released. Carpio, Sullivan, and Hui-Ahsam were unable to post bail and were released to South Kohala District Court.

A 36-year-old woman and 35-year-old man who live at the residence were arrested and released without being charged, pending further investigation, police said.
