Ka’ulawena Martin • bowling

The Kamehameha junior entered as the third seed but left with the top prize last weekend at the BIIF bowling championships.

Carrying a 121.8-average during the regular season, Martin said she averaged 148 when it counted to earn her first crown.

It had to be a little sweet that she took down the top seed, Kawehi Ili. Just look below to see how much Martin respects her bowling and softball teammate with Warriors.

Honorable mention goes to Konawaena’s Hunter Tavares, who repeated as boys champ.
