Police have arrested a man they say was wanted for questioning with the non-fatal shooting of a 41-year-old early Monday evening in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

According to a police log, 31-year-old Kamanaokaaina “Mana” Kaipo Nakooka of Pahoa was arrested Tuesday at 12:25 p.m. He was booked on suspicion of first-degree assault, but had not been charged as of this morning. He was charged on an outstanding contempt of court warrant.
