Police arrested brothers in separate investigations connected through bizarre circumstances.
Patrick Enos Jr., 26, and Pat Garrett Enos, 26, both of Hilo were charged Oct. 1 with multiple offenses following three investigations with peculiar connections.
According to police, they arrested Pat Garrett Enos on Sept. 26 for driving a stolen SUV. Officers found the license plates on the SUV were from a stolen truck that was abandoned near Maulua Gulch in North Hilo earlier the same day.
A man told police he was working in Maulua Gulch when two men and a woman stole his truck after one of the men threatened him with a pipe. Patrick Enos Jr., who was identified as one of the suspects, was arrested on a warrant and was in possession of the abandoned stolen truck’s key fob, police said.
Search warrants were executed, and drugs and ammunition were found in the truck and SUV, police said
Patrick Enos Jr. was charged with robbery, unauthorized control of the stolen abandoned truck, burglary, ammunition and drug possession. His bail was set at $90,000.
Pat Garrett Enos was charged with unauthorized control of the stolen SUV, disobeying a police officer, fraudulent license plates, a firearms offense and drug possession. His bail was set at $46,000.
He was arrested the previous week on a no-bail warrant and was released by the court.
