Not above the law

Our world would be chaotic without limitations.

Laws are enacted for this reason. No one is above following these mandates — not me, not President Donald Trump, not the Thirty Meter Telescope protesters.

Let’s find peace and harmony in doing what is right for future generations, with each person trying to do what they can to help save our planet and increase our knowledge of the vast universe.

Don’t litter, be kind to each other and our precious Earth, and build the TMT now.

Ban urinals?

Well, once again Hawaii was aced out of cutting-edge “woke awareness” by Portland, Ore., and their ban of urinals in all public buildings.

Our county officials need to stand up and protest the cruelty and insensitivity of what urinals represent and start banning them in all of our county buildings and in all of the restrooms.

Furthermore, we need to remove all labels from all restroom doors; no more gender-identified doors.

I will do my part by boycotting all urinals, and as a further act of woke awareness, I will keep the toilet seat down. Having the toilet seat up is a symbol of the male patriarchy and asserting male privilege over women.

How many households have battled over toilet seat positions? It’s a real problem, and you can help.

Men, do your woke duty and join the effort to ban all urinals. Use the toilet, ban the urinal.

More solar

A panel (County Council) advances a resolution promoting the creation of a county climate action plan, and the biggest and best thing we can do is promote the development of large solar arrays all around the island.

They will provide clear and safe electricity for all of our other basic needs, from electric cars to responsible air conditioning for schools.
