Police are seeking witnesses or anyone with information regarding the circumstances of a hit-and-run vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian earlier this year in the Panaewa area of Hilo.

The crash, which occurred on Kanoelehua Avenue (Highway 11) north of Makalika Street during the early morning hours of April 3, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Anthony Harper of Pahoa.

Investigators are also seeking information from people who might have seen a male pedestrian walking Hilo-bound along Highway 11 between Keaau town and Makalika Street that day between 12:30 and 1:50 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
