David Felicisemo Maikai “D” Arciga, 61, of Paauilo died Aug. 11 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired florist and hairdresser. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Hanne Unger Jernstrom, 88, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 2 at home. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, she was a homemaker and former volunteer for Kona Community Hospital. Private celebration of life. Generalisimo B. “The General” Madriaga, 82, of Hilo died Aug. 22 at a private care home in Keaau. Born in the Philippines, he was a retired construction laborer and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kilauea Ward and Laborers’ International Union of North America Hawaii Local 368. Visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ponahawai Chapel, 522 Ponahawai St. in Hilo. Idamae Kelii Sine, 90, of North Kohala died Sept. 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired professor of nursing at the University of Utah and past president of Kohala Hospital Auxiliary. Beatrice Momi “Porky” “Kaho‘opomaika‘i” “Nurse Bee” “Aunty Beebee” (Namauu) Toutai, 69, of Keaukaha died Aug. 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired registered nurse in obstetrics and gynecology at Hilo Medical Center, Kuakini Hospital and Kona Community Hospital, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Keaukaha Ward and a kupuna with the Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna. Potluck celebration of life 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Haili Tent, 33 Noeau St., next to the Panaewa Park. Survived by son, Richard Toutai; daughter, Kainoa Nohealani Toutai Aitaro; sisters, Margaret “Maggie” (Wesley) Namauu Kimura and Lovey Kepoo Toki; a grandson and a granddaughter; nieces and nephews. The late Pedro Domingo Dominguez is survived by, among others, brother-in-law, Felipe (Gloria) Resurreccion of Honomu. His name wasn’t submitted for an obituary published Wednesday.
