Enchantment awaits during the Hawaii Burlesque Festival’s “Fantasies & Fairytales,” the fourth annual Cabaret Circus Experience, slated for 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Palace Theater in downtown Hilo.

Join a magical cast of your Big Island favorites — and a few special guests — for a romp into the woods and through the gilded doors of the most legendary cabaret hot spot in the Enchanted Forest. The Glass Slipper Cabaret’s magic spell will last for one night only.

Doors open at 7 p.m.

The adventure that is “Fantasies & Fairytales” stars a curated selection of Hawaii’s foremost burlesque, cabaret and circus performers, including Honolulu’s burlesque sweetheart and producer/director of the Hawaii Burlesque Festival Violetta Beretta, along with Madame X and Queen Mabsy. Joining them will be Hilo’s own Lady Lily La Douce from Acme Hourglass Burlesque Company. And back to tickle your fancy will be physical comedienne Aileen Wilkie as “Amazing Grace.”

Music will be by Hal Glatzer, and aerial dance will wow audience members with Bella and Zoe of Aerial Arts Hawaii. Plus, all the way from Seattle, Jenny Penny and Mae Zing will be featured.

Surprise guests are lining up at the door!

Escape into a fantastical world of scintillating striptease, saucy songs, captivating comedy and hilarious audience participation. The Fairy Tale Costume Contest will be the stuff of legend, so get into the storybook spirit and get decked out.

Don’t spend the weekend staring into that Magic Mirror, waiting for your prince or princess to arrive.
