Police are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the suspects they say are responsible for a burglary at a closed business establishment in the 65-1200 block of Kawaihae Road in Waimea.

On Aug. 23 between 10:57 p.m. and 11:05 p.m., two unidentified males were observed on video surveillance entering a locked window on the north side of the building. Once inside, the suspects located and removed a black safe that was bolted to the floor and contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as 5-foot-1-inches to 5-foot-6 inches tall with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a short sleeve light-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, a baseball cap with a light-colored front, and dark-colored sneakers with white trim.

The second suspect is described as 5-foot-1-inches to 5-foot-6 with a medium build. He was wearing a long- sleeved light-colored hoodie with partial words on the sleeves and front, which say “Stay Humble.” He was also wearing light-colored surfer type shorts and dark-colored sneakers with white trim.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
