Hawaii Island Veterans will present its seventh annual Jazz & Blues Festival from Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

The weeklong event begins with a VIP pre-party the evening of Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel.

The festival’s main event is slated for 1-7 p.m. the following day, Sunday, Oct. 27, at Nani Mau Gardens in Hilo.

A week of acclaimed performances at various venues will culminate on Black and White Night, Friday, Nov. 1, with blow-out music events at the Palace Theater and upstairs at the Mokupapapa Discovery Center in downtown Hilo.

Advance tickets are on sale online at www.hawaiiislandveterans.org and from HIVM board members and Basically Books in Hilo through Sept. 26.

Prices are $65 general admission, $90 VIP.

Starting Sept. 27, general admission tickets increase to $75 and VIP tickets to $100.

VIP guests need to hang onto their ticket stubs as well, as they are good for priority no-fee admission to all of the festival’s events.
