Coldwell Banker Day-Lum Properties in July at KTA Puainako hosted a slipper/uniform drive for keiki in need of housing within the Hilo-Waiakea Complex Area.

With the beginning of the school year looming, the property management company asked the community to pitch in and help these kids in need acquire new slippers and school uniform shirts. The initial goal was to collect 100 pairs of slippers and $500 monetary donations.

With 15 real estate agents present, the Coldwell Banker Day-Lum Properties “Community Squad” surpassed its goals, taking in more than 150 pairs of slippers and nearly $900 in monetary donations. All of the proceeds went directly to the keiki in need so they could return for the new school year with new slippers and uniform shirts.
