David Lewis Medeiros, 57, of Hilo died Aug. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Private family services. Online condolences: homelanimemorialpark.com. Yaeko Miyashiro, 85, of Pepeekeo died July 19 at home. Born in Hakalau, she was retired from the former Miko Meat Co. and a member of Hilo Coast United Church of Christ. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Clayton Miyashiro, Byron Miyashiro, Craig (Ruth) Miyashiro and Randal Miyashiro of Pepeekeo, Tracy (Laura Tobosa) Miyashiro of Hilo, Darrell (Yvette Hata) Miyashiro of Kurtistown; brother, Robert (Tomiko) Kitano of Honolulu; sister, Sakae Higa of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Hideo Hamada of Pepeekeo; sisters-in-law, Sharon Kitano and Patsy Miyashiro of Honolulu; a grandson; nieces and nephews. Ann Midori Shiroma, 88, of Pahoa died April 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waikane, Oahu, she was retired from the former Verizon Hawaii. Dean “Tachi” Akio Tachibana, 62, of Mountain View died July 10 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a Sears sales associate and member of Hilo AJA Bowling Club, Orchid Isle Nisei Bowling Club, United States Bowling Congress, Japanese American National Bowling Association, International Game Fish Association, Hawaiian Invitational Handicap Bowling Tournament Committee, Sears Million Dollar Club and McKinley High School class of 1975.
