Drivers should expect possible traffic delays on Daniel K. Inouye Highway tomorrow morning as a contractor moves heavy equipment from Puako to Pahoa.

From about 5:30 to 9 a.m., Isemoto Contracting will transport an excavator from Hapuna Bluffs near Puako along Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway to Waikoloa Road, and from there to Saddle Road. The excavator will continue down Puainako Street in Hilo before turning south on Kanoelehua Avenue toward Pahoa.

While travel will be maintained in both directions on the Highway, the County Department of Public Works advises drivers to expect delays and apologizes for the inconvenience.
