Bobsy Caraang Gumayagay, 53, of Keaau died June 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a heavy equipment operator for Agribusiness Management and Landscaping Co., stock clerk at J. Hara Store and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Visitation 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by wife, Marilyn Gumayagay of Keaau; daughters, Janice Gumayagay and Jasmine Gumayagay of Keaau; mother, Rosita Gumayagay of Pahoa; brothers, Roy Gumayagay of Alaska and Jay Gumayagay of Pahoa; sisters, Nora Magcalas of Salem, Ore., Lina Gumayagay of Honolulu and Myla (Ceasar) Gumayagay of Hilo; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Peggy Jean Nako‘olani Kobayashi, 70, of Hilo died July 1 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired state social worker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Rose Asae Oshiro, 93, of Hilo died June 4 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired office manager for WESCO Distribution and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Private family services held. No koden (monetary donations). Survived by husband, Fumio Oshiro of Hilo; son, Donn (Karen) Oshiro of Lake Forest Park, Wash.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Richard L. Troyer Jr., 68, of Mountain View died June 6 at home. Born in Salina, Kan., he was a dedicated carpenter. His ashes lay at sea and on Maunakea.
