Lewis Ira Glaser, 78, of Kailua-Kona died July 11 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Newark, N.J., he was a macadamia nut farmer and U.S. Army veteran. Graveside service noon Wednesday (July 17) at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Stephanie “Stephie” Linda Moniz, 65, of Olaa, died June 15 at home. Born in Hakalau, she was a retired educational assistant for Pahoa High and Intermediate School, former chef at Roy’s, alaka‘i for Te Ha‘a Lehua and former member of Halau o Kekuhi.
