Hilo students named to president’s list at Gonzaga

Cole deSilva, Piliwailana Nahale-a and Aubree Silva, all of Hilo, earned placement on the Gonzaga University president’s list for the 2019 spring semester. Students must earn a 3.85-4.0 grade-point average to be listed.

Manglona named to dean’s list at Baylor

Julius Vance G Manglona of Hilo was among more than 4,100 Baylor University students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester. Students honored are undergraduates with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Manglona is studying in Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business.

Young named to dean’s list at Colby College in Maine

Jacob H. Young of Kapaau was named to the dean’s list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for outstanding academic achievement during the 2019 spring semester. Young was one of 443 students to earn a spot on the dean’s list last semester. Students must earn a GPA of 3.78 or higher to be included on the list.

Young, a member of the class of 2020, attended Peak To Peak Charter School and is the son of Nancy Young of Kapaau and Richard Young of Boulder, Colo.

Gatto named to dean’s list at Bryant University

Amara Gatto of Waikoloa, a member of the class of 2020, was named to the 2019 spring semester deans’ list at Bryant University in Rhode Island.
