Favorite thing about running: All the places on the island we get to see that cars can’t get to, and getting there with my trail friends

Favorite athlete: That’s so hard. So many people on the Big Island inspire me: hubby Mikey, Justin Young, Kawika Singson, Patrick Stover, Jacob Fansler, Billy Barnett and Grant Miller. They are the only people I know happy to run at 2 a.m.!

Favorite spot on the Big Island: Waimanu. Anywhere in the valleys is my favorite spot on Earth.
