Leanne Bryan, 68, of Mountain Ranch, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died May 23 in Mountain Ranch. Born in West Virginia, she was a social worker and park ranger. Memorial donations to Mountain Ranch Resource Center, P.O. Box 124, Mountain Ranch, CA 95246. Survived by wife, Carol Phelps; brothers, Harry (Jeab) Jackson Bryan III and Timothy O. Bryan; a niece and a nephew.

Marilynn Louise Lips, 93, of Keaau died June 12 at home. Born in Selma, Calif., she was a retired licensed practical nurse for St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, Calif. No services. Survived by sons, Thomas Lips of Greenfield, Calif., Phillip Lips of Kingsburg, Calif., and George (Femy) Lips of Keaau; brother, Donnie Hartley of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. Gladys Morimoto Nakamura, 104, of Hilo died May 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kekaha, Kauai, she was the oldest member of Hilo Higashi Hongwanji Mission. Memorial service at a later date. Survived by son, Nolan; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Hannah Jane Ramsey, 91, of Hilo died May 2 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Luzerne County, Pa., she was a retired housekeeper and member of Haili Congregational Church. No services. Survived by sisters, Wilma (Wittie) Pridgen and Ada Belle Brady; hanai sister, Phyllis Hoover; daughters, Sharon Autry, Susan Ramsey and Donna Pipi; a niece; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inocencio Llana Sales, 67, of Keaau died May 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a cook for KTA Super Stores and member of Kinoole Baptist Church. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the chapel. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. Rex Kazumi Shimizu, 70, of North Hollywood, Calif., died June 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired mental health services coordinator for Los Angeles County, Hilo High School class of 1967 alumnus and member of San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center, San Fernando Valley Meiji Ondo Group and Aloha Golf Club of Southern California.
