A 37-year-old South Kona man faces drug and firearms charges after his home off Napoopoo Road was raided by police Friday.

Wayland Beck is charged with first- and second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, marijuana possession and two unregistered firearms.

Bail was set at $36,000.

According to police, officers seized about 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 62 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, a .308 caliber rifle and drug paraphernalia.

Beck wasn’t home when officers served the search warrant but was arrested a short time later off Pukiawe Street in Kona, police said.

Police said another 2.8 grams of crystal meth and 17.2 grams of marijuana were found in Beck’s backpack.
