The public is invited Agriculture Awareness Day is 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kamuela Farmers Market, 67-139 Pukalani Road in Waimea.

Join the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, participants of the Agricultural Leadership Program’s Class XVI, and special guests for an interactive discussion about agriculture in Hawaii. Learn about challenges, proposed solutions, and how you can help.

The event will feature guest presentations by: County Councilman Tim Richards; David Fuertes, Kahua Pa‘a Mua Farm; Howard Ling, South Kona farmer; JoAnn Nobriga, Double D Ranch; Olelo pa‘a Ogawa, Agricultural Leadership Program Class XVI, Glow Hawaii; and other members of Agricultural Leadership Program Class XVI.

Agriculture Awareness Day is proudly hosted by the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, with support from the Kamuela Farmers Market.

The ALFH was founded in 1982 in response to the major shift in Hawaii away from plantation agriculture. ALFH’s mission is to provide leadership development opportunities for people committed to strengthening agriculture in Hawaii.
