Edward “Eddie” Rosario, 73, of Ocean View died April 12 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Kealakekua, he was a retired platform driller, heavy equipment operator, fisherman and musician. Celebration of life 1 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Makaeo Events Pavilion at Old Kona Airport Park. Bernard Albert Silva, 90, of Mountain View died April 11 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a retired welder for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and member of The House Hilo. Private services. Survived by wife, Elizabeth Silva of Mountain View; sons, Phillip (Valerie) Silva and James Silva of Mountain View; sister, Loretta Lorenzo of Pahala; sisters-in-law, Hope Silva of Honolulu and Doris Silva of Hilo; nine grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Kang Hoay Benny Tjhio, 86, of Hilo died April 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Krawang, Java, Indonesia, he was a retired research scientist and graduate of Technical Institute in Bandung, Indonesia, Kings College in Cambridge, U.K., and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
