Anthony Jesse Barnard “Sonny” Medeiros, 71, of Keaau died Jan. 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ola‘a, he was a former butcher at Miko Meats and former Keaau Banana harvester. He also was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and Pig Hunters of Hawaii member. Celebration of life from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Shipman Park in Keaau. Survived by son, Daniel Anthony Medeiros of Kurtistown; daughters, Bridgette Rose (David) Santiago of Glenwood and Joycelyn Sarah (Curtis) DeLima of Kurtistown,; brothers, William (Lynn) Medeiros of Keaau and Nicholas (Kennedy-Ann) Medeiros of Oahu; sisters, Marie Young of Maryland and Junelle (Robert) Blas of Keaau; nine grandchildren.

Francisco “Frank” “Cisco” Ramos, 70, of Hilo died Feb. 4 on Oahu. Born in Wahiawa, Oahu, he was a retired nuclear inspector for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Visitation from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Inurnment at Punchbowl on Oahu at a later date. Casual/Hawaiian attire. No flowers. Survived by fiancée, Lorna Hanamoto of Hilo; brothers, Alfredo Ramos, Jr. and Juan Ramos, both of Oahu; sisters, Julia Aque of Oahu and Gloria Hipolito of Maryland; half-brother, Alejandro (Masa) Vea of Kauai; brother-in-law, Christopher Pedro of Oahu; sisters-in-law, Flora Vea and Carlina Vea, both of Kauai; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
