The Division C International Speech and Table Topics contests are slated for Saturday (March 30) in the Central Pacific Bank training rooms, 225 Queen St. in Honolulu. Among those competing will be Hilo Toastmaster Chris Hampton.

Other Hawaii Island competitors are Emily To or Kona and Maureen Garry of Waimea.

“Our Toastmaster clubs provide a supportive and positive environment, where members have the opportunity to overcome the fear of public speaking and sharpen presentation skills,” says Division C Director Sharla Sare.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization’s membership exceeds 357,000 in more than 16,000 clubs in 143 countries.
