Honorable mention honors go to Pilipaa libero Loke Kuamoo, the most improved athlete of the week, and setter Aulike Kaiawe.

But it’s hard to ignore the hammer that is Nani Spaar.

The outside hitter, a junior at Kamehameha, was the queen of the court at Hilo Civic during her club’s sterling week-plus run.

After winning the Moku O Hawaii Keawe regional, Pilipaa moved on to the Haili tournament, winning the junior 18s crown, then its became the first high school team to capture the women’s AA title. In six matches, Spaar tallied 82 kills and 62 digs.
