‘Deep State’ newspaper
Since the election of President Donald J. Trump, the Tribune-Herald has been showing no common decency, no respect for truthful and accurate reporting, and absolutely no moral values.
This newspaper continues to bash President Trump with yellow journalism and opinion columns of hate in every one of its publications.
Apparently, the owners, publishers and editors of this newspaper have no respect for honest reporting and hate-less commentary regarding real journalism.
I offer this suggestion to this newspaper. Under this newspaper title Hawaii Tribune-Herald, it should read: Deep State Publication for the DemonRat Party.
At least then this newspaper will be showing some degree of honesty.

World-class workshop
On Feb. 9 in Honolulu and Feb. 13 in Hilo, world-renowned clinical psychologist William R. Miller presented a daylong workshop entitled, “Listening Well: The Art of Empathic Understanding.”
Dr. Miller is an emeritus distinguished professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and co-founder of motivational interviewing.
At the University of Hawaii at Hilo, 126 attendees heard Dr. Miller discuss the high impact of “accurate” empathy on the well-being of people and how genuine listening can bring people to come to their own solutions and understanding.
This thought-provoking presentation was made possible due to co-sponsorship by Argosy University, Catholic Charities Hawaii, Elemental Guidance, LLC, Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center, Marriage &Family Therapist of Hawaii and UH-Hilo.
Collaborations such as this one bring a tremendous value to our island communities. We wish to offer a big mahalo to all the co-sponsors for your hard work and dedication in coordinating this two-island visit by Dr. Miller.
