William “Cowboy” Kahiki Mehau Ahuna, 78, of Pearl City, Oahu, died Feb. 28 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii Army National Guard lieutenant colonel. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday (March 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Burial noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by sisters, Rose Haunani Ynigues of Kona and Juanita Kuhns of Albany, Ore.; brother, Sonny (Winona) Aina of Henderson, Nev.; brothers-in-law, Earl Ah Lo of Aiea, Oahu, and Wally Reardon of Pearl City; nieces, nephews and cousins. Steven “Steamboat” Patrick O’Keefe, 69, of Hilo, formerly of Kauai, died Feb. 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Bernardino, Calif., he ran a hauling business serving the Big Island’s senior community and loved the ocean, the islands and their people. Celebration of life at a later date. Condolences to: 3471 W. Fifth St., Apt. 503, Los Angeles, CA 90020. Survived by son, Kaden O’Keefe of Los Angeles; companion, Charisse Vigneau of Hilo; brother, Kevin (Dawna) O’Keefe of Carlsbad, Calif.; nieces and nephew.

The late Ramona Santiago Pacheco was survived by, among others, brothers-in-law, Abraham (Terry) Pacheco of Oahu and Patrick (Lorraine) Pacheco of Hilo. Their names weren’t submitted for an obituary published Thursday.
