Herbert Diama, 91, of Hilo died Feb. 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired meteorologist for the former U.S. Weather Bureau, employed at the Veterans Administration and a U.S. Air Force veteran during World War II. Private services held. Survived by brother, Benjamin Diama of Hilo; sisters, Catherine Campainha and Carol Brown of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Dorothy “Dot” Maude Douglass, 101, of Kailua-Kona, died March 6 at a private care home. Born in Sharon, Mass., she was retired. Private service held. Survived by son, William (Roxann) Ullstrom of South Kona. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Myrna On Yee Tsubota, 58, of Waikoloa died Feb. 28. Born in Honolulu, she was a software engineer for W.M. Keck Observatory. Private service. Survived by husband, Kevin Tsubota of Waikoloa; daughter, Tamlyn Tsubota of California; sons, Korey Tsubota and Tyler Tsubota of Honolulu; mother, Suzanne Shak of Honolulu; brothers, Bryan (Kim) Shak and Myron (Diana) Shak of California; nieces and nephews.
