Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin invites the public to attend its Spring O-Higan celebration and Spring Seminar on March 15-16.

Featured speaker will be the Rev Harry Bridge, resident minister of the Buddhist Church of Oakland. Bridge spent his youth in Tokyo, where he was born and attended an international high school, and the Boston area. He encountered Buddhism while in college and found his way into the Buddhist ministry.

He attended the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley, Calif., and Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan.

The celebration begins with an Interfaith Forum on from 7-9 p.m. March 15 in the main temple hall. The forum is free and open to the public. The Saturday session is from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and has a fee of $10 to cover lunch and materials.

Registration must be made at the temple office by March 13.
