Emiko Enriquez, 92, of Hilo died Feb. 10 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Care Center. Born in Tsingtao, China, she was a retired secretary and civilian interpreter for the U.S. Army and homemaker. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Naomi (Tom) Enriquez-Soraoka of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Ruriko Matsuo of Japan; two granddaughters; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Ronald Hideo Kawada, 77, of Hilo died Feb. 9 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a was retired assistant store manager at Longs Drugs in Hilo. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Flora “Tita” Leiomalama Desha Beamer Solomon, 92, of Waimea died Feb. 8 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was owner and loea kumu hula of the former Beamer Solomon Hula Arts studio in Hilo, former Hawaii Island Aloha Week chairwoman, served on the first Merry Monarch hula competition committee and was a member of Haili Congregational Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Imiola Congregational Church in Waimea. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Aloha attire. Survived by husband, Randolph F. Solomon Sr. of Waimea; daughters, Malama Solomon and Hulali (Robert Covington) Solomon Covington of Waimea; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and two cousins. Tassie Jean Torres, 44, of Ocean View died Jan. 19. She worked with handicapped services to package items for commercial use. Fumie Matsumoto Vasquez, 108, of Papaaloa died Feb. 13 at a care home in Keaau. Born in Ookala, she was a seamstress for the former Vasquez Tailor Shop and homemaker. Private services. Allen Archie Vincent, 85, of Waikoloa died Jan. 24 in Hilo.
