Want to get a good workout?

Have a green thumb?

Or just like to help out?

Then join the Friends of Lili‘uokalani Gardens for a little bit of gardening — “the original full-body workout.”

The group is hosting a work day from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday (Feb. 9) at the park on Banyan Drive in Hilo. Volunteers are encouraged to come help clean Waihonu Pond and do other land-based chores. And they might even find some buried treasure during the process.

Tools and protective gear will be provided by the Friends of Lili‘uokalani Gardens, and all volunteers will be treated to refreshments and lunch.
