Alejo Yabes Imperio, 83, of Paauilo died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Calanutian, Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a cane truck unloader for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 9) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Maria “Mary” Kagawa, 92, of Mountain View, formerly of Papaikou, died Jan. 14 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Papaikou, she was a homemaker. Cynthia Marie (Hockey) Kahsen, 67, of Keaau died Feb. 2 at home. Born in Roseland, Chicago, she was retired from Farm Supply Cooperative. Laurence I. Kidani, 67, of Paauilo died Jan. 2 in Kapaau. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired transportation driver for Gray Line Hawaii and member of Paauilo Community Association.
