A financial investment adviser who operated on the Big Island had his registration suspended by the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs for violations of state securities law.

Ronald Niederpruem and his company, Ron Niederpruem LLC, had their registrations as investment advisers revoked Nov. 28 for failing to file annual audited financial statements since the fiscal year ending in 2009.

Because of Niederpruem’s failure to comply with state reporting obligations, he was ordered to “conduct no business in Hawaii that requires registration as an investment adviser or an investment adviser representative unless and until reinstated by the commissioner.”

Ron Niederpruem LLC has a mailing address in Mountain View.

Anyone with information about the business’ activities, particularly since the suspension date in November, is urged to contact the DCCA’s Securities Enforcement Branch at 808-586-2740.
