The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation informs the public that Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park will be closed from Jan. 22-Feb. 7 for water line repairs.
The presence of large machinery and open trenches will make the beach park hazardous for visitors, the county said in a Tuesday statement.
