Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a Hawaiian Acres subdivision house Wednesday night.

According to a written Hawaii Fire Department statement, eight units responded to the 9 p.m. alarm, with the first unit arriving 16 minutes later to find the single-story wooden structure on Road B between Roads 4 and 5 fully involved with the roof collapsed.

The fire was reported under control at 9:25 p.m. and extinguished 20 minutes later.

No one was home and no injuries were reported.
