Morita attending Tufts University

Anna Morita of Kailua-Kona is one of more than 1,500 undergraduate students from around the world beginning their academic careers at Tufts University in Medford/Somerville, Mass.

Tufts University is recognized among the premier research universities in the United States.

Gleason named to SAU dean’s list

Gabrielle Gleason of Hilo earned recognition in the fall 2018 semester, securing a position on the Southern Arkansas University dean’s list.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

Gleason is a junior elementary education major. A total of 509 students were honored on this semester’s dean’s list.

Hilo student graduates from Pitt-Bradford

Dakota Scott Graham of Hilo recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with a bachelor of science degree in business management.

December graduates were honored with a reception Dec. 9 in the Bromeley Family Theater of Blaisdell Hall.

Tsuji named to UE dean’s list

Logan Tsuji of Kurtistown achieved a place on the University of Evansville (Indiana) dean’s list for academic achievements during the fall semester 2018. Tsuji is majoring in music performance.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Nakoa-Oness named to fall 2018 dean’s list

The honor roll lists for Graceland University’s 2018 fall term have been announced, and Isaiah Nakoa-Oness of Hilo was named to the dean’s list.

Students at Graceland University, in Lamoni, Iowa, who earn a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.64 are named to the dean’s list.
