KAILUA-KONA — Over 500 foodies gathered on the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel lawn and luau grounds Saturday night for the 30th Annual Christmas With the Chefs.

The annual fundraiser benefits local culinary students attending Hawaii Community College —Palamanui and members of the Kona Kohala Chefs wanting to further their education. The silent auction is a benefit for the Palamanui culinary program through the ACF Kona Kohala Chefs and Jean Hull Endowment fund.

Members of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Kona Kohala Chefs Association delighted attendees with 32 stations filled with plates of expertly prepared savory cuisine and delectable holiday treats — all accompanied by handcrafted ales, choice wines, rum and 100 percent Kona coffee.
