It’s the time of the year when everyone is getting ready for the festive fall season and no home decoration would be complete without a pumpkin or two.

Whether you’re hunting for the perfect pumpkin or looking for the best jack-o’-lantern, we have various sizes and shapes to satisfy the pickiest of choosers.

Folks of all ages are invited to stop by the Waiakea High School Gym between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. today for the school PTSA’s second annual Pumpkin Patch and Craft Fair.

Come early for the best pumpkin selection. In addition to the pumpkin patch, the fun also will include vendors, food, games, a petting zoo and more.

Support the schools’ booths, which include Ka Leo Wai, Waiakea Intermediate Art Club and Waiakea Intermediate Wood Shop. Various booths include koa gifts, crafts, kids games, arts and crafts, clothing and accessories, nail polish strips and air-brushed tatoos.

Hungry? Check out our korean chicken bowl, roast pork bowl, loco bowl, poi balls, scones, cookies, baked goods, pumpkin pie, Jamba Juice and sweet potato/taro chips.

Proceeds will go to support the many organizations and programs at WHS, including scholarships for graduating seniors.

For more information, call Shari Uyeno at 938-8800.

The school is located at 155 Kawili St. in Hilo.
