Man charged in game room robbery

HONOLULU — Prosecutors charged a 31-year-old man in connection with an attempted game room robbery that resulted in the shooting death of another man.

Robin D. Paakaula was charged Monday with first-degree robbery and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug. His bail was set at $100,000.

Charges are pending for the alleged shooter, Manu K. Sorensen, 28, who police arrested Monday in Hauula on suspicion of second-degree murder.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Jacob N. Feliciano, 31, of Waipahu. He died of a gunshot wound to his torso.

Police said two male suspects later identified as Paakaula and Sorensen attempted to rob a game room at the 1700 block of Kapiolani Boulevard in Honolulu at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Sorensen allegedly shot Feliciano and fled the scene.

Feliciano was taken in critical condition to an area hospital where he died.
