Greg Gabaylo, comedic hypnotist, magician and master juggler, is in performance for three comedy hypnosis shows this weekend in downtown Hilo.

Show times are 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Saturday @69 Waianuenue, Hilo’s new hot spot.

According to Gabaylo’s website, he was born and raised in Pearl City, Oahu, and started juggling and performing magic at 8.

In 1981, he won the “World’s Fastest Juggler” competition and continues to bill himself as “Hawaii’s Fastest Juggler.”

His talents have taken him to the stages of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Waikiki Miramar Hotel and Hula Hut in Waikiki, as well as performing aboard cruise ships and in private convention shows.

He was also featured on the KHON-TV show “Living808,” where he juggled machetes and an apple, taking bites of the apple while continuing to juggle the razor-sharp long knives. He showed a knack for multitasking, carrying on a conversation with the show’s co-host, John Veneri.

Video clips of prior performances are also available on YouTube.

There will be free pupus at the show and adults 21 and over can BYOB.

Advance tickets are $20, available at Hawaiian Ukulele and Guitar at 308 Kamehameha Ave. in downtown Hilo and at Keaukaha General Store, 11 Silva St., across from the Port of Hilo. Admission at the door is $25.
