David Hamilton Cofer, 65, of Pahoa died June 11 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., he was a master carpenter. Private celebration of life. Survived by brothers, Steven (Susan) Cofer of Annapolis, Md., and Charles Cofer of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Catherine (Robert) Magness of Clearwater, Fla., and Elizabeth Cofer of Knoxville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews. Wilhemina “Aunty Willy” Ku‘ualohaonapua Kamalamalama-de Souza, 65, of Pahoa died June 10 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a full-time student at the University of Hawaii who earned bachelor’s degrees in art in 2017 and women’s studies and philosophy in 2018. Memorial service held. Robert Liwai Mitchell Sr., 76, of Puuanahulu died May 23. Born in Hawaii, he was a retired truck driver for Mitchell Trucking and West Hawaii Concrete, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and U.S. Army veteran.
