YWCA to honor judge, CPA with Remarkable awards

The YWCA of Hawaii Island will honor retired local Judge Glenn Hara and retired certified public accountant Janet Wolf Hara as its 2018 Remarkable People during a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. July 19 at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Moku Ola Ballroom.

“The YWCA is proud to celebrate this incredible husband and wife duo for remarkable contributions to the local workplace and our community,” said Kathleen McGilvray, CEO of YWCA Hawaii Island.

Glenn Hara practiced law in Hawaii for more than 40 years and retired from the 3rd Circuit Court in 2016. Janet Hara spent more than 30 years as a CPA and helped found Takata, Iwata, Hara &Associates in 1983. She retired in 2015.
