Waiakea Lions Club members at the Hilo Bay lookout gather around trash they recently collected along Highway 19 between the Wailuku River Bridge and the Honolii Stream Bridge. For the past 26 years, the Waiakea Lions Club has kept the area clear of litter and debris. Members said the service project reflects the club’s pride for the community.
