UH-Hilo women’s basketball freshman center Allie Navarette was named honorable mention all-Pacific West Conference on Wednesday.

Navarette had a record-breaking rookie season for the Vulcans. She set school records for most points in a season (383), highest single-season scoring average (16.7), most free throws made in a season (123), most free throws attempted (146) and highest free throw percentage (.842). She also ranked fifth all-time at UHH for a season in rebounds (181) and rebound average (7.9), and is third in blocked shots (23).

The Torrance, Calif., native finished sixth in the PacWest in scoring, eighth in rebounding and second in free throw percentage by .001.

The 6-footer was also edged out for Freshman of the Year honors by Michaela Vanderklugt (15.2 points, 7.8 rebounds) of postseason-bound Concordia.

Natalie Diaz (Dominican) and Roya Rustamzade (Point Loma) shared the PacWest Player of the Year honors. Rustamzade was also named the Defender of the Year, while Savanna Hanson (Azusa Pacific) is the Newcomer of the Year, and Reid Takatsuka (Hawaii Pacific) is the Coach of the Year.
