Suspect arrested in Ocean View stabbing

Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with a stabbing shortly after noon today in Ocean View.

Moses Libero was booked on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder for the stabbing, which took place at a home on the 1600 block of Kona Drive.

According to police, Libero was involved in a confrontation with a 31-year-old man and stabbed him three times, in the right side of the neck, right upper chest and left forearm.

Police immediately apprehended Libero, who remains in custody while detectives investigate. The investigation has caused the closure of Kona Drive between Lehua Boulevard and Lotus Blossom Circle.

The victim was taken to Kona Community Hospital in critical condition and later flown to The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu for additional treatment.
