Police are asking for the public’s help for leads on two men and a woman, considered armed and dangerous, wanted for questioning in connection with a Saturday kidnapping in Puna.

Sought are:

• Joshua Sosa, a 25-year-old Keaau man described as 5 foot 8 inches, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

• Claude Carvalho Jr., a 32-year-old Pahoa man described as 6 foot tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

• Nikki Nasario, a 26-year-old Pahoa woman described as 5 foot 1 inch, 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

A fourth suspect, 34-year-old Paul Alisa of Pahoa turned himself in to the Pahoa Police Station. He was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and later released from custody pending further investigation.

At 12:31 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call of a kidnapping at a Hee Street address in Hawaiian Beaches. Witnesses reported that a 31-year-old woman staying at the home was struck in the face with a tire iron before being forced into the trunk of a sedan at gunpoint.

At 5:32 p.m., police were notified that the victim had been dropped off at the Hee Street address. She was taken by ambulance to the Hilo Medical Center where she was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe the suspects still at large may be driving a maroon 1998 Toyota sedan with a shattered back window, Hawaii license plate HCD 702.
