The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce announces its annual fundraising and fellowship event, the Whitey Rose Memorial President’s Cup Golf Tournament, on Presidents Day, Feb. 20, at the Big Island Country Club.

Chaired once again by Barry Taniguchi and Newton Chu, check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. with tee time at 8:30 a.m. The tournament format will be a two-person scramble and feature “most accurate drive” and “greenie” contests with prizes donated by generous Hawaii Island businesses, golf courses and resorts.

“To promote fellowship between HICC members and encourage others to join the chamber, we are inviting all members and the public to participate in this fun tournament,” said chamber president Mike Kaleikini.

A special early bird entry fee of $140 and a $30 President’s Package Greenie Contest fee are offered until Jan. 31. Fees will be $150 and $40, respectively, thereafter.

Interested golfers or sponsors can contact the chamber office at 935-7178, admin@hicc.biz or visit www.hicc.biz to download a registration or contribution form.
