Born in Hookena, she was a waitress for King Kam, Ocean View and retired from Royal Kona, and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Jasmin Leialoha Teves, 35, of Honokaa died Nov. 28 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Waimea, she made and sold acai bowls and hummus under the name Ai Pono Living at the Waimea Midweek Farmers Market and was an avid hiker and horsewoman in Waipio Valley. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) at Mana Christian ‘Ohana Church (Kahilu Town Hall) in Waimea. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by son, Kaholomoana Teves; father, Wayne Teves; sister, Jasmine Quitevis; brothers, Rob Quitevis and Chad Matsumoto; grandmother, Clara Matsumoto; other family.

Charles “Van” Van Del, 85, of Kona died Jan. 12 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Nebraska, he was an interior designer for Koehnen’s Interiors and a U.S. Navy nurse and Korean War veteran. Private celebration of life Sunday, Jan. 31, in Kona.
