HONOLULU (AP) — The state attorney general’s office seized more than 50 boxes of documents from a public charter school currently under investigation.

Another media outlet reported the raid took place Monday at the Myron B. Thompson Academy’s physical office at a YMCA. The charter school offers online courses.

The search warrant was part of the investigation by the Department of the Attorney General into possible theft of state funds, including paying staff members for time they did not work.

Deputy Attorney General Christopher Young said he cannot comment on ongoing investigations, and school officials didn’t return calls for comment.

An attorney general’s report in February found questionable practices at the school, but it didn’t lead to any changes.
